Do You Need to Press the Brake When Starting an Automatic Transmission Car?

Starting an automatic transmission car requires pressing the brake. The method for starting an automatic transmission car is as follows: 1. Before starting the car, ensure the gear is in P (Park) or N (Neutral). 2. When starting, coordinate the brake, handbrake, and accelerator properly. 3. After shifting to D (Drive), slowly release the handbrake while gently lifting the brake pedal (equivalent to slowly releasing the clutch in a manual transmission car), then lightly press the accelerator to allow the car to start smoothly. 4. Avoid stomping on the accelerator, as it not only wastes fuel but also damages the vehicle. Note: Do not release the brake pedal when shifting gears. 5. Without the engine running, the transmission fluid does not circulate, meaning internal components are not lubricated or cooled. Towing the car over long distances or at high speeds can cause wear and damage to the transmission.
