Do You Need to Press the Brake When Shifting to S Mode?

Shifting to S mode does not require pressing the brake. While the car is in motion, simply push the gear lever into the S position. The Function of S Mode: S mode, as a sport mode for vehicles, makes the car more aggressive and powerful. When you need to maximize the vehicle's performance, S mode can bring out its full potential to achieve the desired state. When to Use S Mode: When urgently needing to overtake and feeling that the desired speed is not being reached, you can directly shift into S mode without pressing the brake. The engine speed will increase, and the vehicle speed will noticeably improve. After overtaking, shift back to D mode directly, also without pressing the brake. If during overtaking, the D mode already provides sufficient speed, simply pressing the accelerator further can complete the maneuver. Using S mode is not recommended in this case, as shifting back to S mode at excessively high speeds can easily damage the gears.
