Do second-hand motorcycles require tax payment?
1 Answers
Licensed second-hand motorcycles do not require tax payment. Reasons: The purchase tax is paid when a new motorcycle is licensed, and it only needs to be paid once. If it is a second-hand motorcycle that has already been licensed, there is no need to pay the purchase tax again. However, if the motorcycle is unlicensed, the purchase tax must be paid. If you wish to purchase one, directly arrange with the seller to transfer ownership at the transaction center. Regulations: Before licensing a motorcycle, the vehicle purchase tax must be paid, which is 10% of the vehicle price. According to Article 12 of the 'Vehicle Purchase Tax Law of the People's Republic of China,' the tax liability arises on the day the taxable vehicle is purchased, and the taxpayer must declare and pay the vehicle purchase tax within 60 days from the date the tax liability arises.
