
You do not need to replace your driver's license after the probationary period. After 6 years of driving experience, you need to go to the local vehicle management office where the license was issued to replace it with a new one. Validity period of the driver's license: If the driver has not accumulated 12 penalty points in any scoring cycle during the six-year validity period of the motor vehicle driver's license, the license will be replaced with a ten-year valid one. If the driver has not accumulated 12 penalty points in any scoring cycle during the ten-year validity period, the license will be replaced with a long-term valid one. Probationary period of the driver's license: This refers to the 12-month period starting from the date of obtaining the license. For Class A, B, and C licenses, the probationary period is 12 months. During this period, a novice probationary sign (printed by the traffic management department) must be affixed to the rear of the vehicle being driven.
