No hardware replacement is required for a Stage 1 tune. A Stage 1 tune can enhance the power of a car's engine without changing any hardware. However, it's important to note that only turbocharged engines can have their power increased through tuning; naturally aspirated engines cannot gain power this way. This difference stems from their distinct air intake methods: naturally aspirated engines draw air into the cylinders via the suction created by the downward movement of pistons, while turbocharged engines force air into the cylinders using a turbocharger.
