No re-examination fee is required. According to Article 44 of the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses": Each subject test can be taken once, and if failed, a re-examination is allowed once. If the re-examination is not attended or still fails, the current examination process terminates, and the applicant must reschedule the examination. Relevant requirements for applying for a motor vehicle driver's license stipulate: 1. In areas where self-study and direct examination for small cars and small automatic transmission car driver's licenses are implemented: Applicants can use their own vehicles equipped with safety auxiliary devices to learn driving skills on routes and times designated by the traffic management department of the public security authority, under the guidance of a person with safe driving experience, and apply for the corresponding driver's license for the permitted vehicle type in accordance with Article 19 or 20. 2. For those who already hold a motor vehicle driver's license and apply to add permitted vehicle types: The additional permitted vehicle types that can be applied for include large buses, tractors, urban buses, medium buses, large trucks, small cars, small automatic transmission cars, low-speed trucks, three-wheeled cars, ordinary three-wheeled motorcycles, ordinary two-wheeled motorcycles, light motorcycles, wheeled self-propelled machinery, trolleybuses, and trams.
