Do I need to go in person for the annual vehicle inspection?

It is not mandatory for the vehicle owner to attend the annual inspection in person. The annual inspection service can be handled by a proxy. Currently, many insurance companies, car dealerships, and third-party agencies offer proxy services for exemption inspections. Insurance companies use this as an incentive to attract customers—as long as the vehicle owner is insured with their company, they can handle the annual inspection on the owner's behalf. Vehicle inspections include three categories: vehicle safety technical inspection, vehicle emission inspection, and comprehensive vehicle performance inspection. The annual inspection, also known as the annual check, refers to a comprehensive safety inspection conducted every year or every two years. This includes checks on the horn, brakes, axle weight, chassis, ignition system, lighting system, exhaust system, license plate installation, and other aspects.
