Do I Need to Drive the Motorcycle for Annual Inspection?

You need to bring the motorcycle for annual inspection. China IV Motorcycle Standards: According to the China IV emission standards, effective from July 1, 2019, all motorcycles sold and registered must comply with the China IV emission standards. From July 1, 2019, the registration of China III standard vehicles was discontinued, meaning they could no longer be sold. Under the new standards, China IV motorcycles have further improved emission control durability requirements to ensure cleaner and more environmentally friendly motorcycles in the future. Motorcycle Annual Inspection: Motorcycles registered within the last 6 years are exempt from on-site inspection, and motorcycle inspections can be conducted nationwide. Additionally, motorcycles exempt from inspection within 6 years are also exempt from environmental protection inspections. For applicants processing inspections in provinces (regions or municipalities) other than where the motorcycle is registered, there is no longer a need to issue an inter-provincial inspection authorization letter. For those who have already obtained an authorization letter but have not yet completed the inspection, the new regulations will apply, and no further review or storage of the authorization letter is required.
