Do Electric Sedans Require Annual Inspections?

Electric sedans do require annual inspections. For private vehicles, whether they are purely fuel-powered or electric models, they must undergo on-site testing after six years of use. Vehicles aged between 6 and 15 years require annual inspections, while those over 15 years old must be inspected every six months. The main difference lies in the inspection items between fuel-powered and pure electric models. Pure electric models are exempt from tailpipe emission testing. However, other functional tests such as lighting, exterior appearance, and chassis inspections still apply to electric vehicles. After passing the annual inspection, pure electric models must display the inspection sticker on their windshields, just like fuel-powered vehicles, to prove compliance with that year's inspection requirements.
