Do Cars Need to Display Insurance Stickers Now?
1 Answers
Currently, cars are required to display insurance stickers. After purchasing compulsory insurance for the vehicle, the insurance sticker should be immediately affixed to the right side of the front windshield. Although some regions have implemented electronic tags, they are not yet widely used, so displaying the vehicle insurance sticker is still necessary for road use. If the insurance sticker is lost, it must be reissued by the insurance company where the policy was purchased. You need to bring the vehicle's registration certificate and the compulsory insurance policy. Once reissued, the sticker should be directly affixed to the right side of the windshield. Losing the insurance sticker requires prompt reissuance; otherwise, driving the vehicle is considered illegal and may result in penalties. In case of an accident, the insurance company has the right to deny claims. According to the Road Traffic Safety Law, failure to display the insurance sticker may result in a one-point deduction from the driver's license and a fine.
