Do all China VI vehicles have particulate filters?

With the exception of a very few models, basically all China VI vehicles are equipped with particulate filters. After the China VI standard was released, automakers found it nearly impossible to meet the standard without changing design direction, R&D investment, and power performance. Therefore, most China VI-compliant vehicles are equipped with particulate filters. These filters can effectively reduce diesel engine soot by up to 90%. A very small number of models without particulate filters also meet the China VI emission standards. These models include the Toyota Camry, RAV4, C-HR; Honda Lingpai Hybrid, CR-V Hybrid, Accord Hybrid; Mazda Axela, CX-30, CX-5; and BYD Qin PLUS DM-i, Song PLUS DM-i.
When it comes to China VI vehicles and particulate filters, it really depends on the situation. The current China VI emission standards are extremely strict, so the vast majority of diesel vehicles are definitely equipped with this device, otherwise they simply wouldn't pass the inspection. As for gasoline vehicles, most China VIb models are basically equipped with it, especially those with direct-injection turbocharged engines. However, for older naturally aspirated engines or hybrid vehicles, some manufacturers may meet the standards by modifying the engine structure, so they don't necessarily have to install the filter. Nowadays, you can make an educated guess by looking at the exhaust pipe at the rear of the vehicle—if there's an additional box-like component resembling a filter underneath the exhaust pipe, chances are it's equipped with one. If you're really concerned, checking the vehicle's environmental compliance list is the most accurate way to confirm.
