Seven-seater vehicles require platform inspections. For new vehicles within 6 years, inspections are required every 2 years. After that, inspections are required once a year for the next 15 years, and then twice a year thereafter. After 20 years, inspections are required four times a year. Vehicles registered after September 1, 2010, are exempt from inspection within the first 6 years. New regulations for seven-seater vehicle annual inspections: Non-operational small and mini passenger vehicles with 7 to 9 seats within 6 years are included in the exemption range. For non-operational small and mini passenger vehicles over 6 years but under 10 years old, the inspection frequency is adjusted from once a year to once every two years. Documents required for annual inspection: Owner's ID card; original vehicle registration certificate; valid compulsory traffic insurance policy; current year's vehicle and vessel tax payment (or exemption) certificate (the vehicle and vessel tax proof is usually included in the compulsory traffic insurance policy).

What Causes the Abnormal Noise When Turning the Steering Wheel?

Abnormal noise when turning the steering wheel may be caused by wear in the CV joint. The solution involves disassembling and inspecting the inner walls of the left and right inner CV joints for wear and indentations. In most cases, the issue arises from indentations caused by wear on the inner walls of the CV joints, specifically at the points where the outer surface of the ball bearings frequently contacts during torque transmission (load-bearing points). Another possible cause is the sound of the turn signal rebound clip. This typically produces three clicking sounds per full rotation of the steering wheel. Below are some related explanations: 1. Noise from the steering column dust cover. If you hear noise coming from below the steering wheel whenever you turn it, whether stationary or moving, you should check the steering column dust cover. 2. Noise due to interference with the clock spring (spiral cable). If the noise comes from inside the steering wheel when turning, this is often caused by interference with the clock spring (spiral cable) inside the steering wheel. 3. Noise from the shock absorber top bearing. If the noise seems to come from outside the vehicle when turning the steering wheel, it might be due to insufficient lubrication in the shock absorber's top bearing. 4. If the noise is not from the shock absorber's top bearing, check whether the stabilizer bar bushings are loose or damaged.

What does RCD mean?

Introduction to the meaning of RCD: 1. In building electrical systems, RCD refers to Residual Current Device, which primarily functions to prevent fires and equipment damage caused by electrical leakage. 2. RCD can also stand for Room Temperature Catalytic Decomposition, which involves the long-term stable catalytic oxidation of formaldehyde pollutants in the air into water and carbon dioxide using ambient heat at room temperature. A Residual Current Device (RCD) is a type of leakage protection device. Leakage protection devices are low-voltage safety protection appliances with the following functions: 1. Preventing single-phase electric shock accidents caused by leakage; 2. Preventing fires and equipment damage caused by leakage; 3. Detecting and interrupting various single-phase ground faults; 4. Some leakage protection devices can also provide overload, overvoltage, undervoltage, and phase-loss protection.

Why Did Jetta Change Its Logo?

Here is the relevant introduction about Jetta changing its logo: 1. Volkswagen wants to complete the high, medium, and low brand lineup: FAW-Volkswagen's high-end brand is Audi, the mid-range brand is Volkswagen, and the Jetta car is the cheapest within the Volkswagen brand, targeting the low-end market around 100,000 yuan. Therefore, to compete in the low-end market in the future, a new brand needed to be established. 2. Competing with SAIC Volkswagen's Skoda brand: Currently, SAIC Volkswagen's more low-end brand is Skoda, which originates from a Czech car brand. 3. Introducing the SEAT brand into the domestic market: From the three models exposed by the Jetta brand, the new cars under the Jetta brand are actually SEAT models from abroad. Since SEAT has very low recognition in China, the cost of re-promotion is high. Therefore, SEAT might be promoted under the Jetta brand.

Is It Normal for New Car Brake Discs to Rust?

For most household cars, brake disc rust is a very normal phenomenon and is not a standard for checking whether a car is new or not. Whether the brakes are prone to rust mainly depends on the material of the brake discs. Currently, most household cars use brake discs made of gray cast iron 250 standard. Although they provide good braking performance, they have a high carbon content and no surface rust protection, making rust inevitable. Here is some related information about car brake disc rust: 1. Brake discs are exposed to the outside and are in constant contact with mud, rainwater, and moisture in the air. If the car is not driven for a few days, the brake discs will start to rust. Even newly replaced brake discs can rust overnight in humid weather. Minor rust generally does not affect braking performance. In fact, simply driving the car and applying the brakes a few times can remove the rust. 2. If the car is left unused for a long time and the brake discs become severely rusted, it is important to clean them. This is because car braking relies on the friction between the brake pads and the brake discs. If the rust on the brake disc surface is too thick, it will not provide effective braking, inevitably increasing the braking distance. Additionally, friction between the brake pads and rust is unstable, often causing the brake pedal to vibrate and produce harsh noises, which also accelerates wear on the brake pads.

How Can Beginners Tell If the Car Body Is Aligned Properly?

There are four methods for beginners to determine whether the car body is aligned properly. Here are the relevant details: 1. Maintain a standard driving posture, which is the foundation for keeping the car body aligned. After getting into the car, adjust the seat's position (forward/backward) and height. Hold the steering wheel at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions with both hands, place your left foot on the clutch pedal, and rest your right foot lightly on the accelerator pedal. Keep your upper body relaxed and natural, with smooth and flexible movements. 2. Develop a good sense of steering. Remember the principle of turning and returning the steering wheel: turn as much as you need to return, turn less and return less, turn slowly and return slowly, turn more and return more, turn quickly and return quickly. 3. Keep your vision focused far ahead and make adjustments as needed. When correcting the direction, avoid looking at the front of the car to make adjustments—instead, look far ahead. Otherwise, the car body cannot remain properly aligned. 4. Control the steering wheel with intention. Use a reference point on the front of the car to accurately sense the vehicle's current position, helping you determine the timing and extent of turning or returning the steering wheel.

What Causes Weak Ignition in Cars?

Here are the reasons for weak car ignition: 1. Pay attention to the battery: Generally, green indicates normal power, white indicates the need for charging maintenance, and red indicates a dead battery (some may use green for qualified, black for low power, and white for battery damage requiring replacement). The lifespan of a battery is typically around two years. If the battery power is found to be low, it should be replaced promptly. 2. Pay attention to the throttle valve body and idle valve: Carbon buildup in the throttle valve body and idle valve can cause difficulty in starting. For vehicles with an idle valve, lightly pressing the accelerator pedal before starting can help ignite the engine, but releasing the pedal may cause immediate stalling. Therefore, it's best to promptly visit a repair shop for cleaning and inspection. Additionally, during maintenance, it's essential to frequently replace the air filter. In northern areas with more dust, the air filter should be replaced every 10,000 kilometers, and even more frequently on sandy or dusty roads. 3. Fuel pressure: To ensure normal engine startup, the residual fuel pressure in the fuel system after the engine is turned off should not be below 2.5–3.5 kg/cm². Otherwise, insufficient pressure will prevent the fuel injector from spraying enough fuel for startup. Repeatedly turning the ignition switch can restore the fuel pressure to normal, making startup much easier. However, it's best to have a professional mechanic inspect the fuel system to rule out any faults. 4. Lubricant quality: As winter approaches, it's important to replace all lubricants, including engine oil, transmission oil, and power steering fluid, as ordinary lubricants become more viscous and less fluid in cold weather, increasing friction resistance and making cold starts difficult. Choosing a slightly less viscous oil can reduce mechanical wear and protect the engine.
