Difference Between Song DM and DMi

BYD Song DM and DMi differ in the following aspects: 1. Power difference: Although both are plug-in hybrid systems, their engine displacements are different. Both are equipped with turbocharged engines, but the DM model features a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 192 horsepower and a maximum torque of 320Nm, while the DMi is equipped with a smaller 1.5T engine delivering a maximum power of 139 horsepower and a maximum torque of 231Nm. 2. Motor difference: Besides the engine, their motors also differ. Although both use permanent magnet synchronous motors, the DMi series all come with a front-mounted single motor, available in two versions: 145kw and 160kw. In contrast, the DM series includes not only a rear-mounted single motor version with 180kw but also two models with front + rear dual motors. Therefore, all DM models are four-wheel drive, with two capable of full electric four-wheel drive, while the DMi models are all two-wheel drive.
