Can You Still Drive with Transmission Slippage?

Transmission slippage should not be ignored, and driving under such conditions is unsafe due to potential hazards. The causes of transmission slippage are as follows: 1. Severe wear of the clutch, brake, or one-way clutch, leading to slippage. 2. Addition or replacement with non-specified oil. Using different types of fluids can alter the friction coefficient of the transmission—increasing it may cause gear shift impacts, while decreasing it may result in slippage. Some inferior fluids can also cause aging, swelling, or failure of internal seals, leading to slippage. 3. Slippage caused by low main oil pressure. Low automatic transmission fluid level, clogged filter, severely worn oil pump, main oil circuit leakage, or malfunctioning main pressure regulator or pressure control solenoid valve can all lead to low main oil pressure, which in turn can cause slippage and burning of multiple actuating components.
