Can You Still Drive with a Small Amount of Water in the Engine?

It is advisable not to drive if there is a small amount of water in the engine. Symptoms of water entering the engine include: 1. Overheating of the breather pipe: In summer, it can disrupt lubrication, causing overheating, but hot air should escape from the breather pipe of the crankcase; 2. Brake failure: Water increases air humidity. If water enters the brake fluid and vaporizes under high temperatures, it can cause brake failure or even complete loss of braking; 3. Engine stalling while driving: Water soaking the engine air filter element increases intake resistance and allows water to enter the combustion chamber, preventing the spark plugs from igniting. Water entering the distributor cap can cause the distributor to lose its normal ignition function, leading to the car stalling while driving.
