Can You Still Drive When Mercedes Shows Brake Pad Wear?

Mercedes showing brake pad wear can still be driven for about one hundred kilometers. Car brake pads refer to the friction materials fixed on the rotating brake drum or brake disc of the wheel. The friction linings and friction blocks within them withstand external pressure, generating friction to achieve the purpose of vehicle deceleration. Check the brake fluid level: Open the engine compartment and check if the brake fluid level is at the normal position. Remove the tire: Use a jack to lift the bottom of the car. When the tire is completely off the ground, it can be removed. Remove the brake pads: Use a wrench combined with a socket to remove the bolts of the brake caliper, then directly take off the brake pads. Replace with new brake pads: Push the brake piston back in and install the new brake pads.
