Can You Spray Alcohol in the Car for Disinfection?

You can use alcohol to disinfect the car, but it's better to wipe surfaces instead of spraying directly. Here are the precautions for using alcohol disinfection: 1. Use medical alcohol with a concentration of 75%. If the alcohol concentration is too low, it won't be effective in killing bacteria. Alcohol molecules have strong permeability, allowing them to penetrate bacterial membranes and enter the bacteria's interior, coagulating the proteins essential for bacterial life and thus killing the bacteria. 2. Before disinfecting the car with 75% alcohol, turn off the engine and ensure the car is not running. Maintain proper ventilation, as 75% alcohol has a flash point around 22°C and evaporates quickly. Avoid open flames nearby and control the amount of alcohol used to prevent high air alcohol concentration, which could lead to explosions.
