Motorcycles can be ridden in urban areas of Beijing, but they are not allowed in restricted zones. More information about riding motorcycles in Beijing is as follows: 1. According to Article 1 of the "Notice on Traffic Management Measures for Motorcycles," the following roads are prohibited for motorcycles at all times: (1) Chang'an Avenue and its extension (from Wukesong Bridge to Sihui Bridge), the eastern side road of Tiananmen Square, the western side road of Tiananmen Square, the road west of the Great Hall of the People, Fuyou Street, Nanchang Street, Beichang Street, Nanchizi Street, and Beichizi Street. (2) Xisi East Street, Xi'anmen Street (from Xisi South Street to Xishiku Street), Xihuangchenggen North Street, and Xihuangchenggen South Street. 2. Other regulations regarding motorcycle riding in Beijing: Article 20 of the "Beijing Road Traffic Management Regulations" states that motorcycles with Jing B license plates or license plates from other provinces and cities are not allowed to enter roads within the Third Ring Road (excluding the auxiliary roads of the Third Ring Road). On roads with main and auxiliary lanes, motorcycles are not allowed to ride on the main lanes.
