During the probationary period of a driver's license, you cannot reduce points through traffic law study. This is one of the common situations where participation in point reduction through study is not allowed. In addition, the following situations also disqualify you from applying for 'point reduction through study': If, within the current scoring cycle, the driver has two or more records of full-point violations, or the cumulative points reach 12; If, in the previous scoring cycle, the driver has two or more records of full-point violations; If, within the last three scoring cycles, the driver has been penalized for hit-and-run accidents, drunk driving, using forged or altered vehicle license plates, driving licenses, school bus signs, or other vehicle documents, or engaging in point trading; If the driver's license is overdue for inspection or is under suspension or temporary seizure; If the driver has unprocessed traffic violation records; If the driver owns a vehicle that has failed its safety inspection or has not been deregistered as required; If the driver has engaged in fraudulent activities or impersonation during participation in traffic safety education programs aimed at reducing penalty points or during full-point education and inspection exams.
