You can press the accelerator during a hill start test. When starting on a slope, first slowly release the clutch pedal. Wait until the car shakes slightly, then release the brake pedal, and the car will move. If the car doesn't move, release the clutch a bit more until it starts moving. Correct method for hill start: When starting, shift into first gear. Then, slowly lift the clutch pedal with your left foot. Once you feel the clutch engage, pause briefly, then continue to slowly lift the clutch pedal while gradually pressing the accelerator pedal with your right foot. After the clutch is fully engaged, keep your right foot on the accelerator. You can shift to a higher gear once the speed increases. Reasons why manual transmission cars stall during hill starts: Stalling during a manual transmission hill start is usually caused by releasing the clutch too quickly. Practice is needed to improve clutch control.
