Turn off the air conditioning system. If the air conditioning is left on, it will automatically start when the vehicle is turned on, increasing the instantaneous power load unnecessarily and causing excessive wear on the battery over time. 2. Turn off the cigarette lighter when shutting down the car. If the cigarette lighter remains powered in the off state, it will not only drain the battery but also cause damage to it.
