Can You Drive in Sneakers?

You can drive in sneakers as long as they feel comfortable and do not restrict foot movement. However, the following types of shoes are not recommended for driving: Boots: Boots tightly wrap around the legs, which can restrict joint movement. Some boots have thick soles, making it difficult to precisely control the brake and accelerator. This can lead to accidentally pressing the accelerator instead of the brake, causing loss of vehicle control. Such stylish but impractical shoes are not suitable for driving. Platform Shoes: Compared to high heels, platform shoes are more comfortable for walking, which is why many women often wear them while driving. However, driving in platform shoes can feel clumsy and may affect the contact between the foot and the pedals. In some cases, it might even prevent fully depressing the brake pedal, so it's best to avoid wearing them.
