Can You Continue Driving After the Coolant Warning?

You should not continue driving after the coolant warning. The warning light indicates that the coolant level is low and needs to be refilled. Insufficient coolant can affect the engine's heat dissipation, and continuing to drive may cause the engine to overheat, leading to internal component failures. The method for replacing coolant: 1. Drive the vehicle into the lift operation area and open the coolant expansion tank cap. 2. Raise the vehicle to a suitable working height, then unscrew the plastic drain plug on the engine radiator to drain the coolant. 3. After the coolant is completely drained, lower the vehicle and tighten the drain plug on the radiator. 4. Pour new coolant into the expansion tank until it is full, then start the vehicle. The coolant level will drop significantly; simply top it up as needed. 5. After turning off the vehicle, raise it again and check for any leaks around the drain plug.
