Can Xpeng Motors connect to CarPlay?

Xpeng Motors cannot connect to CarPlay. Introduction to CarPlay: CarPlay is an in-car system released by Apple Inc. in the United States, which seamlessly integrates users' iOS devices and iOS experience with the dashboard system. Functions of CarPlay: CarPlay allows users to access most of the basic functions of an iPhone through the car's control panel. Some of these functions include the Siri voice assistant tool, iTunes music playback, Apple Maps, and messaging services.
Xpeng Motors currently does not support Apple CarPlay connectivity, as they have adopted their self-developed Xmart OS in-car system, built on the Android platform, designed to provide a more localized smart experience. As an enthusiast who frequently drives and tinkers with automotive technology, I actually see this as an advantage. Xmart OS integrates voice control, real-time navigation, and third-party app integration, making it more suitable for urban driving scenarios than CarPlay. You can connect your phone via Bluetooth to play music or make calls, or download apps supported by Xpeng to expand functionality. However, if you're accustomed to CarPlay's interface, you might need some time to adjust. The Xpeng team is proactive with system updates, and future compatibility options aren't ruled out, but for now, the focus remains on their own ecosystem. In short, it's recommended for owners to regularly check for system updates—you never know when a pleasant surprise might arrive.
