Can Vehicles Be Inspected in a Different Location?

Except for large passenger buses and school buses, all other vehicles can undergo annual inspections in a different location. Currently, traffic authorities have fully implemented cross-province inspections for small cars, trucks, and medium-sized buses. Applicants can directly have their vehicles inspected in provinces other than the vehicle's registration location and obtain the inspection compliance mark without needing to go through the entrustment inspection process. Large passenger buses and school buses cannot be inspected in a different location and must return to the vehicle's registered location for inspection. Inspection time requirements: Small and micro non-commercial passenger vehicles are exempt from inspection for the first 6 years. After 6 years but less than 10 years, they must be inspected every two years; after 10 years but less than 15 years, they must be inspected annually; after 15 years, they must be inspected every 6 months. Commercial passenger vehicles must be inspected annually within the first 5 years; after 5 years, they must be inspected every 6 months. Trucks and large and medium-sized non-commercial passenger vehicles must be inspected annually within the first 10 years; after 10 years, they must be inspected every 6 months. Imported vehicles, like other vehicle types, can undergo regular inspections at any inspection site. Inspection precautions: Vehicles that fail the inspection must be repaired within a specified time limit. If they still fail after the deadline, the vehicle management office will confiscate their license plates and prohibit further driving. Vehicles that do not undergo inspection without reason or fail the inspection are not allowed to drive on the road or transfer registration. Vehicles that meet the scrapping conditions or exceed the specified usage period will not be inspected, and their license plates will be revoked, their records deleted, and they will be scrapped.
I drive an out-of-town car for city living, which is quite convenient, but I've been concerned about the annual inspection. Vehicles from other regions can fully undergo annual inspections locally, as national policies allow, eliminating the need to return to the original registration location. Last time, I took my car to a local inspection station with just my vehicle license and ID card, completed a simple authorization procedure, and got it done in half a day. The cost is the same as for local vehicles, and the key is the ability to make online appointments through the traffic management app, filling in the information to avoid hassle. Safety-wise, the inspection checks brakes and lights, which are crucial for driving safety. It's advisable to handle it one or two weeks in advance, as peak seasons can mean long queues. Before the inspection, ensure the car is in normal condition, like having adequate tire pressure, to avoid rework and save time. In short, this method is very convenient, saving long-distance travel and allowing focus on work and life.
