According to Article 40 of Order No. 102 of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China: The owner of a motor vehicle may apply for an inspection compliance mark at the vehicle management office of the registration place within three months before the expiration of the motor vehicle inspection validity period. Regarding vehicle inspection: 1. Before application: The owner of the motor vehicle shall complete the handling of road traffic safety violations and traffic accidents related to the vehicle. 2. At the time of application: The owner of the motor vehicle shall fill out the application form and submit the vehicle license, the certificate of compulsory insurance for motor vehicle traffic accident liability, and the certificate of motor vehicle safety technical inspection compliance. Relevant information: The vehicle management office shall, within one day from the date of acceptance, confirm the motor vehicle, review the submitted certificates and vouchers, and issue the inspection compliance mark.
I've been driving for over a decade and early vehicle inspection is routine for me – it's indeed possible to do it in advance. Most regions allow inspections to be conducted 1-3 months ahead of schedule, though specific rules depend on local testing stations; just avoid exceeding six months too early. Personally, I prefer going two months early to avoid end-of-month crowds, saving both time and frustration. The benefits extend beyond convenience: it ensures vehicle safety by detecting potential issues like tire wear or brake problems early, allowing timely repairs for peace of mind. Last time I inspected early, a minor lighting fault was caught and fixed on the spot without disruption. I recommend owners check their license plate expiration dates, contact testing stations for online appointment services, and integrate this into daily planning to avoid work/family conflicts. Making this a habit can significantly extend your vehicle's lifespan.
