Can vehicle inspection be conducted in a different location?

Except for large passenger buses and school buses, which cannot undergo inspection in a different location, all other vehicles can be inspected elsewhere. Currently, the traffic management authorities have fully implemented cross-provincial inspection for small cars, trucks, and medium-sized buses. Applicants can directly inspect their vehicles in provinces other than where the vehicle is registered and apply for the inspection compliance mark without needing to go through the delegated inspection procedure. Large passenger buses and school buses cannot be inspected in a different location and must return to the vehicle's registration location for inspection. Inspection time requirements: Small and micro non-commercial passenger vehicles are exempt from inspection for the first 6 years. For vehicles over 6 years but less than 10 years old, inspection is required every two years; for vehicles over 10 years but less than 15 years old, annual inspection is required; for vehicles over 15 years old, inspection is required every 6 months. Commercial passenger vehicles require annual inspection within the first 5 years; after 5 years, inspection is required every 6 months. Trucks and large and medium-sized non-commercial passenger vehicles require annual inspection within the first 10 years; after 10 years, inspection is required every 6 months. Imported vehicles, like other vehicle types, can undergo regular inspection at any inspection station. Inspection precautions: Vehicles that fail inspection must be repaired within a specified time limit. If they still fail after the deadline, the vehicle management office will confiscate their license plates and prohibit further operation. Vehicles that do not participate in inspection without reason or fail inspection are not allowed to operate on the road or transfer registration. Vehicles that meet the scrapping conditions or exceed the prescribed service life will not be inspected, and their license plates will be revoked, their records canceled, and they will be scrapped.
Regarding the issue of cross-regional vehicle inspection, based on my personal experience and the policies I've learned about, it is indeed possible to handle the annual vehicle inspection at any networked inspection station nationwide without having to return to the original registration location. For example, when I went on a business trip to another city, I conveniently took care of the inspection there. The whole process was simple and quick. Just bring basic documents like the vehicle license, ID card, and compulsory traffic insurance policy, and you can get the new inspection sticker in two to three hours, saving the hassle of long-distance travel and extra expenses. However, it's advisable to choose large and reputable inspection stations to avoid issues with invalid certificates. Also, if the vehicle is modified or of a special type, it might be necessary to check in advance whether the station supports such inspections. In short, this policy has made life much easier for car owners like me who frequently travel across regions, but remember, safety comes first—get your vehicle inspected on time.
