Can the Wuling Zhiguang use fully synthetic engine oil?

Wuling Zhiguang can use fully synthetic engine oil. However, ordinary naturally aspirated engines do not have high requirements for engine oil, so fully synthetic oil is not necessary—semi-synthetic oil is sufficient. Fully synthetic engine oil refers to high-quality oil products that are 100% made from PAO (polyalphaolefin) or artificially synthesized esters, and the oil container will be labeled with the word "synthetic." Engine oil is mainly divided into mineral oil, semi-synthetic oil, and fully synthetic oil. Fully synthetic oil is the highest-grade engine oil. Under normal circumstances, fully synthetic oil can be changed every 10,000-12,000 kilometers or every six months. When the car's driving environment is dusty, the temperature is relatively low, or the car is frequently used for short trips, the replacement interval for fully synthetic oil should be shortened to ensure smooth engine operation.
I've been driving the Wuling Zhiguang for three or four years now, and I've used both semi-synthetic and full-synthetic engine oils. I feel that full-synthetic oil works really well. Especially in winter, the engine doesn't hesitate as much during cold starts, runs smoothly, and is quieter. The Wuling Zhiguang's engine is already quite durable, but using full-synthetic oil can extend the oil change interval. For example, conventional mineral oil needs to be changed every 5,000 kilometers, while full-synthetic can last up to around 10,000 kilometers, which saves money in the long run. However, it's important to match the viscosity correctly. The car's manual recommends using 5W-30 or 10W-40, so I stick to those and avoid using overly thick oils that could affect fuel efficiency. It's best to buy from reputable brands like Shell or Mobil, and avoid cheap, no-name brands that could harm the engine. Also, remember to change the oil filter regularly and perform routine maintenance to prevent major issues. Overall, it's a solid choice—no worries, just go for it.
