Can the Volkswagen Lavida play discs?

Volkswagen Lavida cannot play video discs. The CD player can only read and play music CDs or MP3 discs, while VCDs are video discs and cannot be read or played. But if longtime owners want to play their CD collections, they can install an external DVD player from auto parts markets, routing the cables through the glove compartment.
