Can the Tiguan L's trunk not be opened from inside the car?

Tiguan L models above the Luxury trim come with an interior trunk switch. The switch is located below the driver's door armrest, above the door storage compartment. Precautions for using the trunk are as follows: Key should be pulled out horizontally: For vehicles equipped with a trunk lid lock cylinder, the key should be pulled out horizontally. In this state, the central locking system cannot control the trunk, and the trunk remains locked. Turning the key back to the vertical position allows the central locking system to control the trunk again. Ensure proper engagement when closing: Owners should confirm that the latch is properly engaged after closing the trunk lid. Even if locked but not fully engaged, the trunk may suddenly open, posing a potential safety hazard while driving. A trunk lid left slightly ajar or fully open may allow exhaust fumes to enter the vehicle, affecting the health of occupants.
