Tharu cannot use 92 gasoline. The factory-recommended fuel grade is 95 (97) gasoline. You can check the vehicle's user manual for detailed explanations, or find the fuel standard reminder inside the fuel tank cap. If 92 gasoline is added to the Tharu, the dashboard is likely to display a fault light, and the vehicle may experience knocking. The Tharu is a model released by SAIC Volkswagen. In terms of body dimensions, it measures 4453mm in length, 1841mm in width, and 1632mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2680mm and an unladen ground clearance of 182mm.

I've been driving the Tharu for almost two years now, and based on personal experience, I strongly advise against using 92-octane gasoline. Most Tharu models come equipped with turbocharged engines that have high compression ratios. The octane rating of 92 fuel is insufficient, leading to incomplete combustion which can cause engine knocking and power loss. I once tried 92 fuel and immediately noticed slower acceleration and increased engine noise. I switched back to 95-octane the next day, and my car returned to normal performance. The manual clearly states that 95 or 98-octane fuel is recommended to protect long-term engine health. During regular maintenance, technicians have also warned me that using the wrong fuel grade may cause carbon buildup and shorten engine lifespan, leading to more expensive repairs. Rather than trying to save money, it's better to develop good habits like regular oil and filter changes. Safe driving should always come first - don't risk major damage for minor savings.

What are the effects of start-stop on the engine?

Start-stop function has no impact on the engine. The following is an introduction to the automatic start-stop system: 1. The role of the automatic start-stop system: During traffic congestion or waiting at red lights, the engine can shut off, saving the fuel consumed by idling at that moment. When it's time to drive, the engine starts immediately. 2. More than 80% of car engine wear comes from the moment of cold start, while normal idling operation accounts for about 20%. The automatic start-stop system operates in a hot start environment, only temporarily shutting off the engine during brief stops. 3. The start-stop function stops the engine from working, but the oil system does not stop. Although the engine is not rotating, oil still flows inside the engine, ensuring better lubrication and engine protection when the car starts again.

When to Turn the Steering Wheel for a Left Turn in Subject Three?

When the vehicle has passed halfway through the stop line, you should start turning the steering wheel. Quickly straighten the wheel once the front of the car aligns with the lane. For right turns in Subject Three, the reaction time for turning the steering wheel needs to be faster than for left turns because the distance between lanes is shorter. Here is some relevant information: Precautions for turning in Subject Three: 1. After hearing the voice command, turn your head left and right to check the rearview mirrors and confirm the road traffic conditions. 2. Lightly tap the brake to ensure the system registers the braking action. Avoid braking too hard, as this can easily stall the car if the speed is too slow. 3. Turn on the turn signal and maintain it for three seconds. 4. Before or after turning, if it is necessary to change lanes, always look for the most appropriate moment to do so. Avoid sudden lane changes without signaling, as this can affect vehicles in other lanes.

When to Change the Transmission Oil for a Manual Transmission Car?

Manual transmission oil should be changed every 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers. Below is an introduction to transmission oil: 1. Transmission oil can clean the car's gear system and also plays a role in lubrication, heat dissipation, and sealing. Additionally, it reduces wear and extends the lifespan of the transmission components. 2. If transmission oil is not changed for a long time, its quality and performance will decline, reducing its cleaning and lubrication functions. This will accelerate the wear of transmission components, making the transmission more prone to failure. Additional information on how to change manual transmission oil: 1. Gravity oil change. 2. Connect a transmission flushing machine to the transmission's oil circuit interface, add new oil into the machine, and use the new oil to push out the old oil from the transmission. 3. Remove the transmission oil pan for an oil change. The advantage is that it allows cleaning the transmission oil filter and ensures a thorough replacement.

Is It Normal for a New Car to Have a Burning Smell When First Driven?

It is not normal for a new car to have a burning smell. First, identify the source of the smell and address the issue. Below are some common causes of burning smells in cars: 1. For manual transmission cars, the clutch is the most likely source of a burning smell. The clutch is located between the engine and the transmission. When shifting gears or starting the car, the clutch pedal must be pressed. If the clutch disc does not engage tightly, it may slip while driving, producing a burning smell inside the car. 2. A burning smell coming from the engine compartment may be caused by foreign objects near the exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold reaches very high temperatures during engine operation. If there are foreign objects near it, a burning smell may occur. 3. In turbocharged engines, a burning smell can arise from the turbocharger. The turbocharger operates at extremely high temperatures. If there are debris near the turbocharger, it can produce a burning odor when the engine is running. 4. If you notice a burning smell in the car, open the engine hood and check for any foreign objects near the exhaust manifold. If found, wait for the engine to cool down before removing them.

Can ambient lighting be installed in a car?

Ambient lighting can be installed in a car. According to the "Motor Vehicle Registration Regulations," under the following circumstances, vehicle owners do not need to apply for modification registration as long as it does not affect safety and license plate recognition: 1. Installation of front and rear anti-collision devices on small and mini passenger vehicles. 2. Installation of windshields, water tanks, toolboxes, spare tire racks, etc., on cargo vehicles. 3. Addition of interior decorations in motor vehicles. Below is relevant information: 1. Installing ambient lighting inside the car will not affect the driver's safety. In fact, when opening the door to exit the vehicle on the roadside, ambient lighting can serve as a reminder to vehicles behind. When choosing ambient lighting, opt for types that allow for damage-free installation. Since ambient lighting involves electrical circuit modifications, it is not recommended for owners to install it themselves. 2. Ambient lighting is essentially a type of LED linear light. Its flexibility allows it to be installed in areas where ambient lighting is needed. The color and brightness of the vehicle's ambient lighting can be adjusted according to personal preferences. It can be said that after installing ambient lighting, the vehicle's interior will be significantly enhanced.
