Can the sunroof of the BMW 5 Series not tilt up?

Normally, it should be able to tilt up. If it cannot tilt up, possible reasons include whether the seal is stuck, whether the track is jammed or needs lubrication, or check the wiring. Solution 1: Disconnect the battery method: Turn off the ignition switch, then remove the negative terminal of the battery. After one minute, reconnect it, and the sunroof should work properly. Solution 2: Perform an initialization: Turn the key to the second position. Close all doors. Press and hold the sunroof tilt-up button until it completes a full cycle on its own. That should do it. Pay attention to the lubrication of the sunroof track. Lack of lubrication over time can lead to abnormal noises, poor movement, improper sealing, automatic opening, or even jamming and displacement, which can burn out the motor.
