The rear seats of the Malibu can be folded down from the inside. The Malibu's rear seats feature a 60/40 split-folding design. There is a recessed switch located next to the headrests of the rear seats; pulling the switch forward will release the seatback. The Chevrolet Malibu is built on General Motors' mid-to-large car platform, sharing its origins with the Buick LaCrosse and Regal. Taking the 2021 Chevrolet Malibu XL as an example, its dimensions are 4933mm in length, 1854mm in width, and 1473mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2829mm.
