After replacing the windshield, the ETC can no longer be used. Since the ETC is installed on the windshield, it needs to be reactivated at the bank after reinstalling it following a windshield replacement; otherwise, it will not function. This is because moving the ETC recognition box from its original position will render it invalid. ETC activation method: Insert and remove the ETC card twice in succession until the electronic tag screen displays "Bluetooth is on." If the display shows "Tag invalid" when inserting and removing twice without the electronic tag attached, this is normal and does not affect activation. Alternatively, you can directly press the button on top of the electronic tag to enable Bluetooth. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth, open the corresponding mobile app (usually a download QR code is provided on the electronic tag), and enter the device activation interface. Click on "Device Connection" and wait patiently for the "Connection Successful" prompt. Once connected successfully, upload a photo of the vehicle's front to complete the activation.

How to Adjust the Height of Corolla Headlights?

You can adjust the headlights using the headlight adjustment knob, which is located in the control area below the left side of the steering wheel. Open the engine hood and locate the adjustment bolt behind the low beam headlight. Before adjusting, set the headlight height adjustment knob to the "0" position. Turn the bolt with one hand while observing the change in the light cutoff position on the wall. If the right light is too high, adjust it according to the left light position until both are at the same height. Mark the normal height cutoff line of the headlight, then make a similar mark in the light beam area of the other headlight before proceeding with adjustments.

What to Do If a Lead-Acid Battery Gets Water Inside?

Open the battery cover plate and pour out all the internal electrolyte, then let it dry. Generally, a lead-acid battery has six grids. Fill each grid with new electrolyte until full, but try not to overflow too much. Connect the battery in series as before and charge it using a charger. The added electrolyte may boil over and spill out. At this point, use a cloth to wipe away the spilled water until the battery is fully charged and no more water emerges. Unplug the charger and wait about 30 minutes before reattaching the battery's vent caps and cover plate.

Does a new car need engine oil?

New cars do not require additional engine oil during the break-in period. However, after the break-in period, it is necessary to replace the engine oil because the oil used during the break-in period is specifically designed for this phase to increase friction between components. The break-in period typically lasts between 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers, after which the engine oil should be changed. The primary functions of engine oil are to reduce friction and wear on moving parts, remove sludge (one of the functions of dispersants) and varnish (cleaners) from the engine, neutralize acids produced by fuel and lubricant oxidation (cleaners), improve the sealing of piston rings, and cool the engine by carrying away heat from moving parts.
