If the pedestrian is on the right side outside the passenger window: From the normal driving position, the driver can just see the part of the pedestrian above the wrist through the lower edge of the right window. For minor accidents resulting in light injuries or scratches, the simplified procedure is generally applicable. The police will issue an accident report at the scene and will not impound the vehicle. For major accidents, the general procedure applies, requiring the vehicle to be impounded for further evidence collection.
