Can the car still be driven if the cylinder is washed out?

If the car's cylinder is washed out, it cannot be driven. A washed-out cylinder can cause a rapid rise in water temperature and severe water shortage in the radiator. You should immediately stop the car and send it to a repair shop for inspection and repair. Continuing to drive may lead to cylinder seizure or even engine damage, and in severe cases, the engine may be completely ruined. A washed-out cylinder is a common car malfunction. A blown head gasket can produce various abnormal noises, and the sounds differ depending on the extent of the gasket damage. The main cause of a washed-out cylinder is a severe lack of lubrication oil, leading to poor lubrication and intense friction between the cylinder liner and piston, as well as between the connecting rods. This friction causes a rise in temperature, but poor heat dissipation prevents effective cooling, reducing the lubrication gap. As a result, the piston, cylinder liner, and connecting rods may seize together. Due to the strong inertial force continuing to operate, it can easily lead to cylinder seizure, causing severe impact damage to the engine block.
