Can the car still be driven if the cylinder head gasket is blown?

If the cylinder head gasket is blown, the car cannot be driven. A blown cylinder head gasket will cause the water temperature to rise sharply and the radiator to be severely short of water. The car should be stopped immediately and sent to a repair shop for inspection and repair. Continuing to drive may lead to cylinder seizure in the engine, and in severe cases, it may even cause the engine to be damaged and scrapped. A blown cylinder head gasket is a common car fault, and it can produce various forms of abnormal noises. Since the cylinder head gasket is blown to varying degrees, the resulting abnormal noises will differ. The cylinder head gasket, also known as the cylinder bed, is located between the cylinder head and the cylinder block. Its function is to fill the microscopic pores between the cylinder block and the cylinder head, ensuring good sealing at the joint surface, thereby maintaining the sealing of the combustion chamber, preventing cylinder leakage and water jacket leakage.
