Can the car still be driven if the ABS system failure is displayed?

It is recommended not to continue driving if the vehicle displays an ABS system failure, as this poses certain safety hazards. ABS is the anti-lock braking system of a car, which prevents wheel lock-up during emergency braking, thereby enhancing driving safety. If the wheels lock up during emergency braking, the vehicle will skid out of control, making it impossible for the driver to slow down or control the vehicle's trajectory, which is extremely dangerous. When driving a car equipped with an ABS system, if an emergency arises, the correct operation method is to firmly press the brake pedal all the way down, and let the ABS system handle the rest. When driving on slippery surfaces, the tire grip is relatively poor, and if heavy braking is applied, the wheels are prone to lock up, easily triggering the ABS system. Therefore, avoid heavy braking on slippery surfaces, as this can easily cause wheel lock-up. If driving a car without an ABS system, in case of an emergency, to prevent wheel lock-up, you can apply intermittent braking (pump the brakes).
