Car odometer can be reset to zero. Below is the process for resetting the car mileage: 1. There are two buttons on the dashboard, the right button is the reset button. Quickly pressing the reset button allows switching between the trip odometer and the short trip odometer. 2. If the odometer is an older mechanical type, there is a small protruding knob on the dashboard. Pressing and holding this knob for a while can reset the dial to zero. Remove the dashboard, take off the upper cover, remove the speedometer, fuel gauge, water temperature, and RPM needles, then use a flat-head screwdriver to adjust the mileage gear, which can roll back or reset to zero. 3. Press the (MENU) button on the left turn signal control lever of the steering wheel to enter the mileage and fuel information menu options. Rotate the thumb wheel on the control lever, then press the SET/CLR button at the top of the control lever to reset the odometer to zero. The odometer will then start counting the vehicle's mileage from zero.
