Can the BMW 523 still be driven if the transmission solenoid valve is open-circuited?

BMW 523 cannot be driven if the transmission solenoid valve is open-circuited. There are many manifestations of transmission solenoid valve failure. Transmission cannot downshift: As an actuator of the hydraulic system, if the transmission solenoid valve fails, it may prevent fluid from flowing normally into the transmission body, making it impossible to pressurize the correct gear, thus preventing the transmission from downshifting. Shift delay occurs: The transmission solenoid valve body can convert electrical signals into hydraulic signals and transmit them to the shift components. If it fails, it may not be able to transmit shift signals normally, resulting in shift delays or neutral conditions.
