Tesla can wade through water. Water wading depth reference standards: According to the national standard GT/T18384.3 test requirements, electric vehicles can safely travel 500 meters at a speed of 20km/h in water up to 100mm deep, with a wading time of 1.5 minutes. Beijing local management regulations require vehicles to safely travel 500 meters at a speed of 20km/h in water up to 200mm deep, with a wading time not exceeding 10 minutes. In water up to 300mm deep, vehicles can safely travel 100 meters at a speed of 5km/h, with a wading time less than 10 minutes. Electric vehicle safety test standards: In daily use, it is only safe to wade through water less than 300mm deep, which is just above half of the wheel height, to ensure safety. The vehicle's water wading capability is not solely determined by electrical equipment; the layout of low-voltage electrical components and the sealing of the passenger compartment are also crucial. Additionally, rainwater may cause some corrosion to components such as the motor and battery casing.
