Automobile temporary license plates can be used for inter-provincial driving. The "Regulations on the Registration of Motor Vehicles" stipulate: Article 45 Under any of the following circumstances where a motor vehicle needs to be temporarily driven on the road, the owner of the motor vehicle shall apply to the vehicle management office for a temporary driving license plate: (1) The vehicle has not been sold; (2) The motor vehicle has been obtained through purchase, allocation, gift, etc., but has not yet been registered; (3) The vehicle is used for scientific research or prototype testing; (4) Special vehicles that cannot be registered due to axle load, total mass, or overall dimensions exceeding national standards. Article 46, Item 2 The vehicle management office shall, within one day from the date of acceptance, review the submitted certificates and documents. For circumstances specified in Items (1) and (2) of Article 45 of these regulations, if temporary driving within the administrative jurisdiction is required, a temporary driving license plate with a validity period not exceeding 15 days shall be issued; if temporary driving across administrative jurisdictions is required, a temporary driving license plate with a validity period not exceeding 30 days shall be issued. For circumstances specified in Items (3) and (4) of Article 45 of these regulations, a temporary driving license plate with a validity period not exceeding 90 days shall be issued. Due to reasons related to license plate production, if a license plate cannot be issued within the prescribed time limit, the vehicle management office shall issue a temporary driving license plate with a validity period not exceeding 15 days.
