Can Pickup Trucks Enter Urban Areas?
1 Answers
Most cities have already allowed pickup trucks to enter urban areas, but some regions may implement time-based traffic restrictions. According to relevant regulations, six provinces including Hebei, Yunnan, Liaoning, Henan, Hubei, and Xinjiang have successively initiated pilot programs for lifting pickup truck restrictions, requiring all prefecture-level and lower cities to remove urban entry restrictions for pickup trucks. In fact, most regions across the country have basically completed the deregulation of pickup trucks. For private pickup trucks carrying goods into urban areas, relevant regulations specify that the standard for pickup trucks is that the loading length and width must not exceed the cargo compartment, and the height limit for loading is from the ground to the top of the cargo, which must not exceed 2500mm. A pickup truck is a type of vehicle that combines a sedan front with an open cargo compartment, featuring both the characteristics of a family car and a commercial vehicle, capable of meeting the diverse usage needs of many vehicle owners.
