Can motorcycle oil be added to a car?

Motorcycle oil cannot be added to a car. Adding motorcycle oil to a car can easily cause increased engine noise and even vibration. Classification of motor oil: Motor oil is divided into three categories: mineral oil, semi-synthetic oil, and fully synthetic oil. The replacement cycles for these three types of oil also vary. Generally, mineral oil should be replaced every six months or 5,000 kilometers, semi-synthetic oil every six months or 7,500 kilometers, and fully synthetic oil every six months or 10,000 kilometers. Impact of oil on the engine: The quality of the oil has a significant impact on the engine's working environment. The engine operates in a high-temperature environment, continuously repeating mechanical friction movements. In this process, the oil plays a role in cooling, lubricating, and cleaning. Over time, the impurities in the oil increase, and its performance declines accordingly.
To be honest, I was curious about this too and tried putting motorcycle oil in my car. After a few days, the engine noise got louder and fuel consumption increased slightly. The mechanic said motorcycle oil has lower viscosity and is designed for small, high-revving engines; car engines are larger and need thicker oil to protect pistons and crankshafts. Long-term use would accelerate wear and shorten engine life. Now I strictly use car-specific oil, and it feels much smoother while saving me repair headaches.
