Motor vehicles can be scrapped in another location. If the vehicle is damaged due to reasons such as traffic accidents and cannot be handed over for scrapping to a local motor vehicle recycling enterprise, the owner of the motor vehicle may hand over the vehicle for scrapping to a motor vehicle recycling enterprise in the vehicle's current location. After confirming the dismantling of the vehicle, the motor vehicle recycling enterprise will issue a scrapped motor vehicle recycling certificate to the owner and submit the motor vehicle registration certificate, license plate, driving license, etc. to the local vehicle management office where the vehicle is scrapped. The applicant needs to go to the main vehicle management office to apply for a motor vehicle deregistration certificate. The required documents include: 1. Original identity proof of the vehicle owner (if handled by someone else, the original identity proof of the entrusting person and the original power of attorney must be provided at the same time, and non-local residents must also provide the original temporary residence permit); 2. Original scrapped vehicle recycling certificate from another province or city.

I recently helped a friend with the out-of-town vehicle scrapping process, and it turned out to be quite straightforward. First, you need to contact the vehicle registration office in the place where the car is registered to apply for a scrapping authorization, and obtain a stamped letter of authorization. Then, bring the vehicle registration certificate, driving license, and ID card to a certified recycling company in another location. They will dismantle and photograph the vehicle on the spot, and provide you with a scrapping certificate. Finally, mail the certificate back to the original registration location to cancel the vehicle record. The whole process takes about a week or so, much smoother than expected. Remember to choose a qualified recycling point. Nowadays, many cities have scrapping network apps where you can make an appointment with one click, and you can also inquire about subsidy policies—some places offer several thousand yuan for retiring old vehicles.

Does Using Air Conditioning on Highways Consume More Fuel?

Using air conditioning definitely consumes more fuel than not using it. The difference in fuel consumption between using air conditioning on highways and regular roads is not significant. When driving on highways, it is recommended to use the air conditioning in external circulation mode. The reasons for using external circulation mode for air conditioning on highways are as follows: 1. Highways: When driving on highways, the windows are usually closed, preventing proper air circulation inside the vehicle. Turning on external circulation allows outside air to enter the vehicle, improving the freshness of the air inside. 2. Air Conditioning: During high-speed driving, external circulation has little impact on the effectiveness of the air conditioning. The weakening effect of using external circulation during normal air conditioning use is minimal. 3. Windows: Fogging on the windshield is mainly caused by high humidity inside the vehicle. Using external circulation continuously introduces fresh air, maintaining moderate humidity levels inside the vehicle and reducing the likelihood of fogging.

Where are the drain holes on the Murano's doors?

The drain holes on the Murano's doors are located at the bottom edge of the doors. The function of these drain holes is to allow water inside the doors to drain out. During rainfall, water can enter the door interior through the door seals and window gaps. When the door is opened, the accumulated water inside will drain out through these holes. The door drain holes are extremely important for vehicles. If these holes become clogged, rainwater accumulating inside the doors can lead to rust formation, and may even cause malfunctions in the door locks and window regulator mechanisms. When drain holes get blocked, it's necessary to remove the door's interior trim panel and thoroughly clean the drain holes to prevent potential door damage.
