Can military personnel obtain a C1 driver's license?

The military cannot obtain a C1 driver's license; they can only obtain a military Class B license. Personnel who obtain a driver's license in the military must exchange it for a civilian driver's license after discharge. They only need to pass a theoretical exam to receive a B2 license. In addition to driving vehicles permitted by a Class C license, a B2 license also allows the holder to drive heavy, medium-duty trucks or large, heavy, and medium-sized specialized operation vehicles. Requirements for upgrading from a C1 to a B2 driver's license: Age between 20 and 60 years old; height not less than 155cm; holding a C1 license for at least 1 year; no record of accumulating 12 penalty points in the current and the previous scoring cycle before application; visual acuity must meet or exceed 5.0 on the logarithmic visual acuity chart; no record of drunk driving or being primarily responsible for a fatal traffic accident while holding a C1 license. Specific process for applying for a B2 driver's license: Apply to the vehicle management office for upgrading to a B2 license; fill out the application form, submit ID and medical examination form, and provide the original copy of the current motor vehicle driver's license; attend the theoretical and practical exams as scheduled; the new license will be issued by the applying vehicle management office within 7 working days after passing the exams.
