Mainland license plates cannot drive on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Below is relevant information about vehicles allowed on the bridge: Vehicles permitted on the bridge: In addition to cross-border buses, shuttle buses, cross-border taxis, and freight vehicles, approved Guangdong-Hong Kong dual-plate vehicles from the Huanggang, Wenjindu, Shatoujiao, and Shenzhen Bay ports can drive on the bridge without additional permits. These license plates are temporarily allowed to use the bridge for a period of two years. Important notes: Vehicles that have applied for a one-time quota and other vehicles approved by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao authorities can also drive on the bridge. However, vehicles with a one-time quota do not have entry privileges and must remain in the port parking lot or on the artificial island.
