Can I turn off the engine without turning off the right turn signal when pulling over?

You cannot turn off the engine without turning off the right turn signal when pulling over. Precautions for pulling over: Before the vehicle comes to a complete stop, do not open the door to let passengers on or off; when temporarily parking on the right side, the driver must not leave the vehicle immediately and should quickly drive away if obstructing traffic; no parking is allowed at intersections, railway crossings, curves, narrow roads, narrow bridges, steep slopes, tunnels, or within 20 meters of these locations; no parking is allowed in sections with pedestrian guardrails (hedges), crosswalks, construction zones, or opposite obstacles. Operation method for pulling over: Before stopping, observe the traffic behind and to the right through the interior and exterior rearview mirrors, and turn on the right turn signal; press the brake pedal appropriately; turn the steering wheel to the right (first turn to pull over to the right); when the speed drops below first gear speed, press the clutch pedal, and when the right front wheel is close to the curb, turn the steering wheel to the left (second turn to align the vehicle and adjust the distance between the body and the curb); turn the steering wheel back to the right (third turn to straighten the wheels) and stop quickly. As the vehicle is about to stop, slightly release the brake pedal to reduce braking inertia and stop smoothly; pull the handbrake, shift to neutral, release the clutch and brake pedal, and turn off the turn signal.
It's acceptable to turn off the engine with the right turn signal still on when pulling over, because once you shut off the engine, the entire electronic system of the car, including the turn signals, will automatically power down. So even though the light may appear to be on, it actually goes out as soon as the engine is turned off, posing no issues. As an experienced driver who frequently does this, especially during temporary roadside stops, my focus is on locking the car after turning off the engine, with no need to worry about the lights. Just a reminder: ensure the turn signal functions properly before shutting off the engine to avoid battery drain or bulb aging affecting the next startup. Developing a habit of manually turning off the lights before shutting down the engine is also good practice, as it can extend bulb life and save power.
