If you purchase an electric vehicle using a gasoline car quota, you cannot switch back to a gasoline car when replacing the vehicle. The vehicle quota is designated as a new energy vehicle quota, meaning you can only purchase new energy vehicles when buying a new car. Relevant regulations: "Implementation Rules": According to Article 27 of the "Implementation Rules," units or individuals who sell or scrap a new energy passenger car can apply for a new energy passenger car replacement quota. The conditions for applying for a replacement quota must comply with the provisions of Article 18 of these rules. Article 28 states that individuals cannot simultaneously apply for a regular passenger car allocation quota and a new energy passenger car allocation quota. "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China": According to the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Regulations on the Mandatory Scrapping Standards for Motor Vehicles," if a vehicle meets the national mandatory scrapping standards for motor vehicles but the owner fails to cancel the registration within the specified time, and the local traffic management department of the public security authority announces the invalidation of the motor vehicle registration certificate, license plate, and driving license on its official website, the scrapped passenger car will no longer be eligible for a replacement quota application.
