Can I renew my expired driver's license in another city?

Driver's licenses can be renewed in another city before expiration, but not after. Relevant regulations: According to the driver's license usage regulations, an expired driver's license cannot be directly renewed in another city. However, you can first transfer it to your place of residence and then proceed with the renewal. For out-of-city renewal, it must be done before the license expires. After expiration, you must return to the vehicle management office in the issuing city to apply for renewal. Time limit for out-of-city renewal: Out-of-city renewal should be applied for at the vehicle management office within 90 days before the license expires. If you fail to renew within the specified time, you can still proceed with the renewal within one year after expiration.
